Knoxville, TN – Fox Muscle & Joint (FMJ), a leader in medical massage therapy and integrative care, is proud to announce a new partnership with Roane State Community College and their Massage Therapy Program. This collaboration will offer structured internship opportunities for students, giving them clinical experience and real-world business insight to help them thrive in the massage therapy industry.
The internship program is designed to provide students with more than just technical skill. FMJ’s goal is to help shape the next generation of massage therapists into confident, competent professionals who not only deliver exceptional care, but who are also equipped with the knowledge and tools to build long, sustainable careers.
“We’re excited to mentor upcoming therapists from Roane State,” said Robert Fox, founder of Fox Muscle & Joint. “This industry has high burnout rates, and we believe that by teaching business acumen, client communication, and industry best practices alongside technical training, we can help these students build something lasting.”
As a clinic known for its unique approach to orthopedic recovery and chronic pain relief—often serving as a final stop for patients who haven’t found relief elsewhere—FMJ is uniquely positioned to provide interns with exposure to advanced therapeutic techniques and innovative tools. Students will work alongside experienced professionals and gain firsthand experience in client care, practice operations, and the day-to-day demands of a thriving therapeutic clinic.
They welcomed their first intern Kaitlyn Peters last week.
